Prime University is set to ignite its campus spirit with the upcoming Inter-Department Cricket Tournament–2026. According to an official notice released by the University Administration, the highly anticipated sporting event is scheduled to commence on April 3, 2026.

The tournament, organized by the Sports Club of Prime University, aims to foster healthy competition and camaraderie among students from various academic disciplines. While the opening match is just days away, the university has stated that a detailed fixture list for the competition will be circulated shortly.

Team Requirements and Deadlines

In preparation for the event, the Office of the Registrar has issued specific guidelines for team formations:

• Team Size: Each department must select a squad of 13 players, consisting of 11 main players and 2 substitutes.

• Management: Every team is required to appoint a Team Manager from among their faculty members.

The deadline for submitting the finalized player lists to the Registrar’s office is Tuesday, March 31, 2026, by 12:00 PM.

Call for Cooperation

The notice, signed by Prof. Dr. Md. Mustafa Kamal, Registrar of Prime University, calls upon all students, faculty, and staff to extend their full cooperation to ensure the tournament's success.

As one of the most popular events on the university calendar, the Inter-Department Cricket Tournament is expected to draw significant crowds and showcase the athletic talent within the "home for rendering prime knowledge."
