Bidduth Kumar Dutta has been serving in the Department of English as an Assistant Professor since January 1, 2022. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Lecturer from February 1, 2017 to December 31, 2021, as a Lecturer from June 23, 2014 to January 31, 2017, and as a Junior Lecturer from April 15, 2014 to June 22, 2014.
He is pursuing his PhD research in the Department of English at Islamic University, Kushtia, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Miah Md. Rasiduzzaman, and his final PhD thesis has already been submitted. He completed his MA in English Literature from Islamic University, Kushtia, in 2010 (Examination held in 2013) and BA (Honours) in English Literature from the same institution in 2009 (examination held in 2012). He obtained 52.52% marks in Honours and secured 1st Class, 2nd position in the MA examination. Besides his academic activities, he has been serving as the coordinator of the "career counselling and job placement center of Prime University" since March 2025. Furthermore, the seventeen research articles have been published in various reputable journals both domestically and internationally.
