Prova Ummay Afzalean is in the Department of English as an Assistant Professor from May 01, 2019. She was a Senior Lecturer from February 01, 2017 and joined as Lecturer in October 17, 2011. She is a PhD Fellow in Bangladesh University of Professionals, Dhaka. She has done her MA in ELT from Rajshahi University and BA (Hons) in English from the same organization. She has completed her SSC from Bogra Govt Girls’ High School and HSC from Bogura Cant. Public School and College, Bogura. Her research interests encompass Pedagogical approaches in English Language Teaching (ELT); sociological and psychological dimensions of teaching and learning English as a second or foreign language; development of the four core language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing); curriculum and syllabus design; materials development; and the integration of technology and artificial intelligence in English language teaching and learning. Her current research focuses on technology-enhanced language teaching practices in higher education contexts. In addition to her academic pursuits, she serves as the Convener of the Language Club of Prime University and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Prime University Newsletter.
