Md. Nayem Chowdhury is a Lecturer in English at the Department of English, Prime University, Dhaka. His academic work brings together English literary studies, environmental humanities, postcolonial thought, Anthropocene studies, slow violence, modern and postmodern literature, English language teaching, and performance-based pedagogy. He completed his B.A. (Honours) and M.A. in English at Islamic University, where he distinguished himself at the top of his class and received sustained academic recognition through annual merit scholarships and a merit-based graduation scholarship.

He is currently pursuing an M.A. in English Literary Studies at Khulna University under the thesis track. His research project, *Apocalyptic Condition of the Anthropocene: Existential Dread and Slow Violence in László Krasznahorkai’s Sátántangó and The Melancholy of Resistance*, is supported by a UGC-funded institutional research grant. His broader scholarly interests include hydrofeminism, climate migration, digital diaspora, apocalyptic imaginaries, decolonial pedagogy, Amitav Ghosh, and the environmental imagination in contemporary literature.

As an educator, Mr. Chowdhury combines literary criticism, language pedagogy, academic writing, phonetics, spoken English, theatre, and learner-centred classroom practice. His teaching experience includes university-level instruction, IELTS and Cambridge YLE preparation, English language training, and curriculum design. Beyond the classroom, he remains actively engaged in seminar organisation, academic event coordination, public speaking, poetry recitation, and English drama, approaching literature as both critical inquiry and embodied pedagogy.
