Most. Shuborna Khatun is a Lecturer and Program Coordinator in the Department of Civil Engineering at Prime University, Bangladesh. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she is actively involved in program coordination, curriculum development, and departmental academic management. Her research is primarily focused on environmental engineering, with emphasis on water and air quality assessment and the evaluation of environmental and public health risks associated with solid waste landfill sites. Her work addresses critical environmental challenges in Bangladesh through applied, data-driven approaches.

In addition, she works on sustainable construction materials, particularly fiber-reinforced concrete incorporating innovative steel fiber geometries and natural fibers. Her research integrates environmental sustainability with structural performance, aiming to develop low-carbon, cost-effective, and locally suitable construction solutions.

She is committed to advancing sustainable infrastructure development through impactful research, quality teaching, and academic leadership.
