Md. Nazmul Islam is a committed academic currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Prime University. At Prime University, he plays a vital role in advancing quality education, academic excellence, and student development through both teaching and administrative leadership.
He is actively engaged in teaching and assessment based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, ensuring that students gain practical knowledge, analytical skills, and industry-relevant competencies. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he serves as the Counselor of the IEEE Prime University Student Branch, where he guides students in professional development, encourages participation in global IEEE activities, and fosters a strong culture of innovation and research.
Md. Nazmul Islam is also involved in institutional quality assurance and accreditation initiatives. He is a member of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) preparation team for the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) under the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB). His contributions support the continuous improvement and accreditation readiness of the EEE program. Furthermore, he work as research director in Research projects under the Center for Research in Hybrid Power (CRHP) at Prime University.
Previously, he served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Manarat International University, where he gained additional experience in OBE-based teaching and curriculum planning.
He is a former student of Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU), where he demonstrated strong leadership and commitment to professional development. In 2020, he initiated a petition for the formation of the IEEE GSTU Student Branch, and subsequently became its founding Chair. Under his leadership, the branch received official approval in May 2021. His efforts played a pivotal role in creating a dynamic platform for engineering students, promoting innovation, technical excellence, and active participation in global IEEE activities.
His dedication to teaching, research, accreditation, and student mentorship reflects his commitment to building a dynamic and forward-looking engineering education environment at Prime University.
