Prime University English Club Hosts “Canvas & Clicks: A New Beginning – Summer 2025”

The Prime University English Club (PUEC) successfully organized an engaging event titled “Canvas & Clicks: A New Beginning – Summer 2025,” marking a new step in creating opportunities beyond the classroom to make English learning practical, interactive, and inspiring.

The program was graced by Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahman, Acting Vice Chancellor & Treasurer, as Chief Guest. Special Guests included Honorable BOT member Adnan Chowdhury, Alumni, Department of English; Prof. Dr. Rakibul Hassan, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences; Captain M. A. Jabber, BN (Retd.), Registrar and Dr. Mohammad Abdul Awal, Head, Department of English. The event was chaired by Mst. Nura Jannat, President of PUEC.

The session began with a welcome speech by Lamia Islam, Vice President of PUEC. A heartfelt farewell was given to the founding executive members, followed by reflections shared by the founding President and Vice President. Present executive members then took their oath, and distinguished guests delivered inspiring speeches. A cake-cutting ceremony formally concluded the opening segment.

The cultural program featured a lively mix of performances:

• Spelling Bee hosted by M. Jahidul Azad, Associate Professor

• Poetry recitations by Jannatul Fardaush Sadia Moni, Momotaz Akter Samanta, and Sajma Akter, Lecturer, PULS

• Dance performance by Madhuri

• Songs by Tamanna Akter and Rajith Jithu Dey

The event also hosted a prize-giving ceremony recognizing winners in art, photography, and live segments. The program concluded with refreshments for all participants.
